RetirementJobs.com conducts ongoing primary and secondary research into the needs and desires of people over 50 when it comes to work, as well as employers who target them for retention and recruitment purposes.

Employer Research
We collect applications from employers seeking the valuable Age Friendly Employer designation. These applications are followed by one-on-one surveys, phone interviews and site visits with individual employers. In addition, we participate in regular conferences, seminars and task forces across the country where we learn and aggregate information from employers. We pool this confidential information into a database of "best practices’ among employers, and conduct analysis of trends.

Consumer Research
We also conduct ongoing research of job seekers. We issue periodic surveys such as our annual "Age Bias in the Workplace" research, which queries on perceived age bias and juxtaposes responses with those of employers on the same topic. We also operate ongoing or "rolling" surveys, staying in touch with job seekers after they apply to postings on our site to ascertain how they have fared and learn about their experience.
